Project “Speak Up”

Activity: Long term EVS project (6 or 12 months)
Venue: Amman, Jordan (but activities will be realized in several places in Jordan)
Starting date: June/September/October, 2015

Tasks for volunteers:
• To prepare and lead English lessons for kids and/or adults in Palestinian refugee camps and poor areas near Amman (~60% of time);
• To assist in project proposal development and new initiatives (~10% of time);
• To promote EVS and Erasmus+ program to youth in Jordan and establish new cooperation with other organization from Europe and Arab countries (~10% of time);
• To develop personal initiative (~5% of time);
• To take active part in Arabic lessons and do self-study and take part in organizations activities (~10% of time);
• To write blog articles about his experience in Jordan (in English) (~5% of time).

Volunteers will work 5 days per week 7 hours per day. Each week volunteers will have 2 holidays. Activities usually are lead from Sunday till Thursday; however some activities might be during weekend. In these cases, volunteer will have other working days as holidays. Volunteers will have also 2 extra holidays per month what they can take each month or collect them together.

Volunteers will do their activities together with other volunteers from different countries. WE Center is planning to host 10-16 volunteers in the same time. All of them has a bit different tasks and work locations.

Used methods:
Project is designed to use non-formal education methods. This method will be used in trainings for volunteers and in daily activities. Volunteers should use non-formal education methods in work with kids.

Logistics
Volunteers will live in shared apartment near city center (2 people per bedroom), usually 4-5 people in one apartment. Volunteers will use taxis, buses and service cars for transportation. Activities are lead in different places of Jordan therefore volunteers have to be ready to spend significant time in transportation.
The food allowance is 120 EUR per month and will be given in cash in the beginning of month. The pocket money is 55 EUR per month.

Project “Out of the box”

Activity: Long term EVS project (6 or 12 months)

• To prepare and lead workshops about basic science, creativity and critical thinking (~60% of time);
• To assist in project proposal development and new initiatives (~10% of time);
• To promote EVS and Erasmus+ program to youth in Jordan and establish new cooperation with other organization from Europe and Arab countries (~10% of time);
• To develop new initiative (~5% of time);
• To take active part in Arabic lessons and do self-study and take part in organizations activities (~10% of time);
• To write blog articles about his experience in Jordan (in English) (~5% of time).

• To develop and lead sport activities for kids in refugee camp and poor areas of Amman (~20% of time);

Project “Green life”
